Momentum is now open
Momentum is a membership for qualitative PhD researchers whose literature, theory, findings and analysis no longer seem to fit together - and who want structured support to help them keep moving forward.
If your PhD currently feels like this…
You've done the reading.
You've collected the data.
But now:
– you're not sure whether this counts as "analysis"
– your findings feel disconnected from your literature review
– you keep changing your mind about what your project means
– your chapters no longer feel like they belong to the same thesis
– you reread your work and second-guess everything
– you wonder whether everyone else understands their methodology better than you do
– you keep thinking:
"Surely I should understand my own thesis better by now?"
What Momentum is
Momentum is designed for the reality of qualitative PhD research.
Not the ideal version, the actual experience.
The messy middle, the uncertainty, the looping back, the chapters that suddenly no longer make sense, the files called FinalVersion4a3_USETHISONE.
The feeling that everything has somehow become more complicated the more you've learned.
Momentum is a place where you can make steady progress alongside other researchers who understand exactly what this stage feels like.
Members often describe a shift from:
Everything feels disconnected → I can finally see how the pieces fit together.
"I should know this already." → "This is actually normal."
Second-guessing everything → trusting my judgement again.
Feeling alone → being surrounded by people who genuinely get it.
Stop-start work → steady, supported progress.

think they should understand their thesis better by now
